TAILGATE CLEARANCE
Some tailgates do not sit flat when opened, which may interfere with CargoGlide tray operation. Be sure to follow installation instructions and verify fitment before installing. CargoGlide XL models can use the Universal Riser Kit to provide additional clearance.
1. What are my installation options?
Both full-size and midsize truck Drawer Systems can support one full-bed-width CargoGlide with a 1,000 lb payload and 75% extension, as long as the correct size is selected. Use the Vehicle Picker above to find the right model for your truck.
In addition, both full-size and midsize Drawer Systems can accommodate either one half-bed-width CargoGlide (mounted on the left, right, or center) or two half-bed-width units installed side by side. A Universal Bracket Kit is required for any new CargoGlide installation onto a Drawer System.
2. How do I know if the new CargoGlide will work on my Drawer System?
If your Drawer System includes D-ring tie-down mounting points, you’re ready for installation.
CargoGlide is not compatible with Legacy Drawer Systems or newer Drawer Systems designed for RamBox, service body trucks, or cargo vans. If you already own a Drawer System or are planning your setup, it’s best to contact Customer Support to confirm compatibility.
3. If I install CargoGlide on my Drawer System, will I still have access to my stash bins?
Yes—with one exception.
If you have a midsize Drawer System (the single-drawer version) and install two half-bed-width CargoGlides, access to the stash bins will be blocked due to the combined width covering the bin lids.
4. How many holes do I have to drill to install CargoGlide?
When installing a compatible CargoGlide onto a Drawer System, no drilling is required. The Universal Bracket Kit bolts directly into existing tie-down mounting points. For installations directly onto a truck bed, refer to the general CargoGlide page for additional guidance.
Note: If your CargoGlide isn’t sliding smoothly, slightly loosen the tailgate roller axle and nut. Using a 9/16" socket and a 1/4" Allen key, a quarter to half turn should restore smooth operation.
5. Does CargoGlide offer a Lifetime Warranty?
Yes—it’s backed by the No BS Warranty. DECKED products are built for long-term, heavy-duty use, and support is available if any issues arise.
That said, damage from extreme events like accidents or natural disasters typically isn’t covered. However, if your gear is damaged, reach out anyway—DECKED will do what they can to help.
6. Is CargoGlide compatible with cargo vans?
CargoGlide is not compatible with cargo van Drawer Systems. For cargo van applications, refer to the CargoGlide page for direct-mount options.
7. What is CargoGlide made of?
CargoGlide is proudly made in the USA using 100% American labor and premium materials, including:
Powder-coated U.S. steel frame
3/4" marine-grade plywood deck
Weatherproof, UV-resistant thermoplastic top sheet
Extruded aluminum sidewalls
