About this product
Fitted to 1999–2018 Silverado, this is Go Rhino's nerf bar for that truck. It ships under part number 104404080T. Choose from 14 material/finish options at checkout. Ships free to the lower 48 in 1–2 business days.
What these are
Go Rhino's 1000 Series is a cab-length nerf bar sold in pairs with vehicle-specific brackets and all the hardware. The tube is 4" oval, wide enough that the flat of a boot lands on it instead of rolling off it, with a moulded non-slip step pad at each door and end caps you can replace if one gets scraped. They bolt to the pinch weld — no drilling, nothing cut.
Two finishes are offered. Galvanized steel under textured black powder coat is the harder-wearing, better-value option and the one most work trucks end up with. Polished stainless costs more, holds its shine, and carries a lifetime finish warranty instead of five years.
Nerf bar or running board?
A running board is a full-length plank: more surface to step on, more shielding from door dings and road spray, more weight, and it covers more of the truck. A nerf bar is a tube: lighter, cheaper, easier to hose out around, and it leaves the rocker panel and the truck's own lines on show. On a lifted truck the choice is mostly about looks. On a stock three-quarter-ton it is worth real thought — you are fitting these because the first step up is a long one, and a wider board gives a shorter passenger more to aim at in the dark.
Within Go Rhino's range the 1000 Series is the straightforward middle option: a solid bolt-on bar with nothing motorised, nothing to retract, and nothing to fail electrically.
Worth knowing before you order
- Cab configuration decides the length. Regular, extended and crew cabs take different bars, and light-duty and heavy-duty trucks use different brackets. If the options on this page do not clearly describe your truck, send us the VIN instead of guessing — we will read the build off it.
- These are steps, not rock sliders. They mount to the pinch weld and are rated for people stepping on them. They are not frame-mounted and will not carry the weight of the truck on a rock.
- Finish care is part of the warranty. Go Rhino's finish coverage assumes road salt gets washed off and that you use a non-abrasive polish suited to the finish. Neglect voids it, and exposed welds are excluded on both finishes.
- Ground clearance. A cab-length bar hangs below the rocker. On a stock truck it clears ordinary driveways; if you regularly take steep entries at an angle, this is the part that finds them first.
- Stainless shows what it is. Polished stainless looks superb and shows water spots and brake dust in a way textured black never will. Pick by how often the truck actually gets washed.
Fitting them
Bolt-on, no drilling, no cutting. The brackets pick up existing points on the pinch weld, the bars hang off the brackets, then everything gets levelled and torqued. A helper or a jack stand to rest the bar on makes it easy; one person can manage. Budget an hour to ninety minutes for the pair. Instruction sheets are on our installation guides page.
Order the wrong cab length or bracket set and nothing lines up, so confirm the fit first — use shop by truck or call us with the VIN. Every order is checked by hand against your vehicle before it ships, backed by our fitment guarantee.
