What these are

A pair of cab-length nerf bars for the 2019–2026 Silverado and Sierra 1500 and the 2020–2026 2500/3500. The tube is 4" oval — wide enough that the flat of your boot lands on it rather than rolling off — with a moulded non-slip step pad at each door and replaceable end caps. They bolt to the pinch weld using vehicle-specific brackets, and they are sold and shipped as a pair with the hardware.

Two finishes. Galvanized steel under a textured black powder coat, which is the harder-wearing and better-value option and the one most work trucks get. Or polished stainless, which costs more, keeps its shine, and carries a lifetime finish warranty rather than five years.

Why a 4" oval rather than a running board

A running board is a full-length plank: more step surface, more coverage against door dings and road spray, more weight, and it hides more of the truck. A nerf bar is a tube: lighter, cheaper, easier to clean around, and it leaves the rocker panel and the truck's own lines visible. On a lifted truck the difference is mostly cosmetic. On a stock 2500 it is worth thinking about — you are adding these because the first step up is a long one, and a wider board gives smaller passengers more to aim at.

The 1000 Series sits in the middle of Go Rhino's step range: a straightforward, solid bolt-on rather than a drop-step or a powered board, with nothing to motorise and nothing to go wrong electrically.

Worth knowing before you order

• Pick the cab, then the drivetrain. Double Cab and Crew Cab take different lengths, and the 1500 and the 2500/3500 use different brackets. The engine option on this listing is how the bracket set gets matched to your truck's frame and body combination — if the options do not obviously describe your truck, send us the VIN rather than guessing.
• These are steps, not rock sliders. They mount to the pinch weld and are rated for stepping on. They are not frame-mounted and will not hold the weight of the truck on a rock.
• Finish care is part of the warranty. Go Rhino's finish coverage assumes you wash road salt off and apply a non-abrasive polish suited to the finish. Neglect voids it, and exposed welds are excluded on both finishes.
• Ground clearance. Cab-length bars hang below the rocker. On a stock truck they clear normal driveways fine; if you routinely approach steep entries at an angle, that is the surface that will find them first.
• Stainless shows what it is. Polished stainless looks superb and shows water spots and brake dust in a way textured black does not. Choose by how often you wash the truck.

Fitting them

Bolt-on, no drilling, no cutting. The brackets pick up existing points on the pinch weld, the bars hang off the brackets, and everything gets torqued and levelled. Two people and a jack stand or a helper make it easy; one person can do it with something to rest the bar on. Budget an hour to ninety minutes for the pair.
