Bigger Drop, Tougher Build
The PowerStep™ XL retains the same reliable power-retractable design as the standard PowerStep™, with key upgrades tailored for lifted rigs. A rugged protective housing encloses the boards when retracted, giving your build a more aggressive, purposeful appearance. Most notably, the XL drops an additional 4 inches lower than other PowerStep™ models — making entry and exit significantly easier on lifted trucks where the gap between ground and cab is most demanding.

Heavy-Duty Construction
Like every PowerStep™ variant, the XL is built entirely from die-cast aluminum — the ideal combination of exceptional strength and low weight. All aluminum components are anodized and finished with a military-grade PTFE (Teflon) coating to guard against surface corrosion and daily wear. The result is a step that's not only built to last, but rated to support up to 600 lbs. — far exceeding the capacity of traditional fixed side steps.

Integrated LED Lighting
Bright LED chips are integrated directly into the central rail of each board, casting a vibrant glow across the step surface and surrounding area. Whether you're loading up before sunrise or returning after a late trail run, the XL's courtesy lighting ensures confident, sure-footed entry every time.

Straightforward Installation
The PowerStep™ XL installs with a simple bolt-on design using existing holes in your vehicle's rocker panels. All hardware, wiring, and vehicle-specific instructions are included in the kit. Professional installation is recommended for best results.

Maintenance Notes

In muddy, salty, or dirty conditions, periodically clean all four linkage hinge points with a pressure washer — avoid spraying the motors directly. After washing, apply dry silicone spray to all four linkage arms and pivot pins, then cycle your door to work the lubricant into the hinge points. Do not apply grease, oil, WD-40, wax, Armor All®, or any penetrant to the step surface or motors.

• What is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship on select AMP Research branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the Three Year Warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product from AMP Research direct or indirect subsidiaries.
• For How Long: This warranty, and any implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, lasts five years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.
• What These Warranties Will Not Cover: These warranties does not cover any damage, defect, or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, improper installation, modification, improper or inadequate maintenance, or on-road and offroad hazards. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states or providence do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
• What AMP Research Will Do: During the applicable warranty period listed above, AMP Research will, at its option, either repair or replace any defective product at no additional charge. You must pay any labor charges associated with removing or reinstalling the product. If a specific product has been discontinued, AMP Research may, at its option, replace your product with a current product of comparable function and value.
