PowerStep™ Vision is built to the same exacting standards as every AMP Research product. Heavy-duty anodized cast-aluminum steps and hinges combine with corrosion-resistant stainless steel hinge pins for a rock-solid, long-lasting foundation. Military-grade PTFE coating on both step surfaces adds an extra layer of protection against corrosion and wear, ensuring years of dependable service.

What sets PowerStep™ Vision apart is its integrated full-length LED Glow Lighting system. During regular operation, the LEDs run at full brightness alongside the classic integrated LED courtesy lights, illuminating the full-length, non-slip 6-inch wide step surface and surrounding ground to guide passengers safely. On most applications, the boards drop over a foot below the door sill plate, giving every passenger a comfortable, accessible step up. When the steps retract, the lighting automatically dims and shifts into color-customizable accent mode — giving your vehicle a sleek, custom appearance without any additional hardware.

PowerStep™ Vision automatically deploys the moment a door is opened and retracts when it closes, so it's always there when you need it. Through the AMP Research Smart Series app on iOS or Android, you have full control over lighting colors, functions, and step deployment — all from your smartphone. Installation is equally straightforward, thanks to a bolt-on design and simple Plug-N-Play technology that makes it one of the most DIY-friendly power running board installs available.

Installation

The PowerStep™ Vision installs using included vehicle-specific mounting brackets, all necessary hardware, and a detailed instruction guide. Where supported, each kit also comes with a Plug-N-Play wiring harness and module, allowing seamless integration with your vehicle's factory electrical system with minimal cutting, splicing, or modification. Due to the wiring involved, professional installation or an experienced DIYer is recommended.

5-Year Limited Warranty

  • What is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship on select AMP Research branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the Three Year Warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product from AMP Research direct or indirect subsidiaries.
  • For How Long: This warranty, and any implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, lasts five years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.
  • What These Warranties Will Not Cover: These warranties does not cover any damage, defect, or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, improper installation, modification, improper or inadequate maintenance, or on-road and offroad hazards. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states or providence do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
  • What AMP Research Will Do: During the applicable warranty period listed above, AMP Research will, at its option, either repair or replace any defective product at no additional charge. You must pay any labor charges associated with removing or reinstalling the product. If a specific product has been discontinued, AMP Research may, at its option, replace your product with a current product of comparable function and value.
