Where the box sits changes what fits

A crossover box sits on the bed rails behind the cab and is the most storage for the least effort, but it eats the front of the bed and it will foul most tonneau covers unless the cover is sold as a toolbox version. Wheel-well and side-mount boxes tuck against the bedside and leave the floor clear, at the cost of volume and awkward reach.

Every box on this page ships by freight. Aluminium diamond plate is the standard for good reason — it does not rust when the finish gets chipped, which it will. Check the lid seal and the lock spec rather than the gauge alone; a thick box with a poor gasket is a wet box.
